TheMarineMortgage

The marine mortgage is the most common way to fund buying a boat. This is a loan agreement where money is used to buy a boat and where the lender takes security in the form of a mortgage on the boat (similar to how most people fund buying a house).

Our panel of lenders can support personal or commercial loans. If you dream of owning a boat, whether it is a luxury flybridge cruiser, sports boat rib or sailing yacht, we're here to help.

Typical boat loans and marine mortgages range from around £25,000 to £1,000,000+ and repayment terms are usually between 1 and 7 years (sometimes longer). Interest and repayments are typically fixed through the term of the agreement, and most lenders will ask for a deposit of around 30% depending on the age of the boat and its value.

Refinancing

Do you already own a boat which has no borrowings secured against it?

Did you know it may be possible for you to finance the boat to release some cash?

GetMeBoatFinance can work with our lenders to secure a loan against your existing unencumbered boat so you can access the value of your asset to then spend the money where you really need it.

For example you may like to carry out some refurbishment or maintenance work on your boat, or perhaps you simply want to release your capital back out of the boat to enable you to put it to work in other aspects of your life.

Warranty

Your boat is likely to be one of the largest investments you'll make in your life, so why leave it without mechanical breakdown protection?

Every year 1,000’s of owners are left unprotected when their boat or yacht manufacturer's warranty expires leaving them vulnerable to huge repair bills. Modern boats are complex and expensive to fix if they go wrong, the high labour charges alone can be crippling.

Don't let a costly repair spoil your boating fun, make sure you're covered today.
